I am saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I have known him for a few years now and have talked to him on the many times he came back to Perth with his lovely daughter Drew. We would talk about everything from how we both missed his father Jack to how him and my dad (Eric Echlin) would go fishing together when he lived here. I will miss those conversations and hearing about his wild adventures looking for a better fishing hole. May his soul rest in peace and may Drew make a full recovery. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

No matter when we seen Michael, we stopped for a quick conversation, he was always in anticipation of the next fishing trip; Drew by his side and always a mention of his beautiful daughter Jess. He was very proud of both his girls. We are very sorry for the loss of Michael. Our prayers are with Drew, Jessica, Teena and Joyce.

We are deeply saddened by Michael's death and share your grief in his loss. Michael had a love of life, his family and the outdoors. He always made sure we felt like family when we spent time together. His great sense of humour and talent for telling stories made every visit unique. I guess the bass and frogs in Joe's Lake are a little safer now that you are fishing in the big pond.

Teena and Girls, I know this is a bit late in coming, but I've been thinking of Mike quite a bit lately, so I think it's time I sent my condolences to you. Mike was always for his girls, no matter how bad things got, his love for his girls always shone through. He was generous with his hugs and kisses, and always made one feel welcome, regardless his circumstances. I last saw Mike when things weren't so good, and I am so very proud of him for turning his life around. His was a spirit that left this earth far too soon. He had so much to offer - his fishing expeditions will live on in the hearts of those who experienced them, and those who had them told to over a tea or whatever. Thank you Mike.
