Mathews, Maye Emily R.N. In hospital in Perth on Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 Maye Emily (Horner) Mathews (dedicated nurse at the Great War Memorial Hospital, Perth for close to 30 years) at the age of 81. Maye was predeceased in 1992 by her beloved husband George Robert Mathews. She was the loved mother of Jane Mathews of Port Elmsley, Beth Mathews of Perth and Brian (Darlene) Mathews of Smiths Falls; cherished grandmother of John and Zachary Palmer. Dear sister of Olive Horner and Ralph Horner of Ottawa, Claire Horner of Vancouver and the late Evelyn Young. She will be sadly missed by nephew Doug Carp of Vancouver, all her family and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Thursday, January 21st, 2010 from 11:00 until 11:45 A. M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 12 noon. Interment, Rideau Ferry Cemetery.
