Don's passing leaves me with sadness, but also with fond remembrance. I am sorry that Don has left us. My thoughts are with my aunt Mary Buckingham, Don's wife, the only sister of my father, the late David Craven. My thoughts are also with Don's other nephews and nieces. I fondly remember my times with Don. He taught me how to swim, in the 1950's, at Meadow's Paradise at Lake of the Woods, in Northwestern Ontario. Don and Mary hosted me and my friend John when we attended Expo67. They took us on their boat, on the St. Lawrence River. In the 1990's, after a bit of a fall on the ski hill, Don firmly grabbed the shoulders of my young son David Craven and asked him: "Are you a skier, or not?" David proceeded, although shaken, to ski down the hill. He went on to enjoy skiing and snowboarding, and has a black belt in jiu jitsu. Bless you, Uncle Don. Thank you for your company, your sage advice, and your encouragement. Love, Ken Craven, Kitimat BC
