Darling, Donald Edward Passed away peacefully with friends by his side, in his 69th year, at Chatham-Kent Alliance Hospital, on Wednesday March 10, 2010. Predeceased by his loving wife Elva Estergaard and his parents Gordon and Mamie Darling. He is survived and fondly remembered by his brother Floyd and sister Linda (Bill) Mackie. Don will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will also be missed by his faithful companion Gidgit. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Annabelle Knapp, Mervyn, June McKay, Lois Roantree and Arthur. He will also be remembered by his close friends Terry McLeod, Michelle Farmer (Muffin), Bill Reath, Candy Reath and Teddy Rooley. Don worked at University Hospital and will be remembered as the owner of Lambeth Subs, Donut Cornor and Dundas Fast Foods. He started with Joyce Brother’s Carnival and went on to own Don’s Rides and Concessions. Visitation was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas St. E. (at Wavell), London, and Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Monday, March 15, 2010. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
