Elaine and family, please accept my deepest sympathies. I had the privilege of growing up with Gerry and Barry way back in the early days of Fort Henry Heights. Even back then, Gerry was a caring, unselfish and generous person;traits he retained throughout his life. I have fond memories of Gerry through those early years, later in high school, and later still in the old Industrial Hockey League at the Jock Harty, and bus trips with the KASE club. I'll always be proud to call Gerry my friend.
Sincerely,
John Cassidy, Kingston, Ontario.

We are sorry for your sadness. Although we had heard many stories from Billy, we had only met Gerry once - at last years Smiths Falls Bears Golf Tournament. Gerry`s presence was immense, his humour was grand and his warmth was magnetic. In that little bit of time,so simply, he made a mark in our hearts. For your family, and for the soul of Gerry, you are all in our prayers. Thankyou Gerry for all you gave and for leaving us with such a beautiful imprint in our lives. Sincerely, The McNamee family

Elaine,Brett,Kurt,Karen,Jennifer,Family and Friends:
Deepest heartfelt sympathy on Gerry's passing. Although no longer with us in body, all should be comforted in the fact, that Gerry's passion and generousity for improving the quality of life in our community ( particularly when Children and Youth were involved )are evident in our Arenas,Sports Fields,Parks,Numerous Recreation Programs and more recently our Community Theatre. These unselfish contributions are only a small part of Gerry's legacy and will live on to benefit future generations.
Although Gerry's irreplacable, spontaneous, candid and infectious sense of humour will be missed,we are all richer individuals for having known him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I was very suprised to hear of the passing of Gerry. I am also sorry I will not be able to attend either the Wakes or Funeral due to commitments with both work, and Golf over these few days. I am sure Gerry would understand the Golf part!!
I am also very sorry for your family during these trying times. Please know that time does heal all wounds no matter how deep. Gerry will be sadley missed by one and all, as I personally do not know anyone that did not love him. With the amount of sports and other options he worked upon, he will be sorely missed.
All the best from myself and family,
Rod

The Spirit of Gerry Lowe
I played high school football with Gerry at Regiopolis High School in Kingston 52 years ago. I can honestly say he was the most competitive guy I ever played with and utterly fearless in games. He had a badly injured knee and as a result wasn't very fast for a running back but every time he carried the ball, he got five to ten of the most violent yards you ever saw because he battled every step of the way. In spite of that, he was the funniest guy in practice specializing in funny walks and runs much like a Monty Python character long before that show ever existed. Even the coach, who wasn't by nature a man given to humour, would laugh. He was a great leader and a guy his teammates just loved. I seen him over the years at weddings, funerals and sporting events and he always had that Gerry Lowe spirit I've admired for years.
