Lorraine, Sharon, Steve, and Vicki ... It was my wish to attend Monday, but due to other commitments I was unable. It has been so long since I have seen most of you, and I would have liked to express my most heartfelt sympathies to you in person. I hold nothing but fond memories of you all and Cam, of course, the 'family' get-togethers, but especially, of when he and I played together in the Cumberland Old-timers hockey league. From my perspective, Cam was always smiling, at least until someone rubbed him against the boards, and from that I will attest ... he was a very competitive guy, straight forward, honest ... not afraid to tell you what he thought. I talked to Joyce and she informed me that he had been suffering for quite some time, for that I am truly sorry, but unfortunately is something that sometimes hits even the 'good guys'. To his character, I read in the paper of his work with the Civitan club, I am sure you hold nothing but pride in how he handled his hardship over the last number of years. I too am proud to say that I knew Cam as a friend, and will keep his memory dear to my heart, as I know you all do. Best of luck to you all, and again my deepest sympathies. Fj
