Carter, James (Jim) Melvin 1946-2010 In loving memory of Jim Carter who passed away peacefully at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Perth Site, after a valiant battle with MS. Jim will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Joan, his aunt Elizabeth Prescott, and his uncle William Prescott (Cecile). Jim had a variety of Jobs over the years, working in radio, in pet stores and his final and most enjoyable job as a dispatcher in the Perth Police Service. He had a love of photography and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and boating on the Montreal River. His early days running a Bulletin Board evolved into a fascination with computers which he easily mastered. He had many friends and was a kind and gentle man. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St., Perth, ON K7H 2L7 (613) 267-3765 on Monday August 9th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. In memoriam donations to the MS Society in memory of Jim would be greatly appreciated.
