I was enveloped with great sadness to hear of Doug's passing the other day. Although we had not seen one another for 30 years, my great fondness for Doug never waned. Doug was a true gentleman. I consider myself blessed to have been his good friend in our youth. The many happy times we shared playing tennis at the Rideau tennis club and other exploits we partook of bebeyond tennis will be cherished by me forever. I miiss you Doug.My sincerest condolences to his wonderful family. An old friend,Gerry Filion.
