McAdam, Gracie Beverly Theresa (nee Gallipeau) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gracie McAdam, on Saturday, November 13, 2010, after a brave and valiant fight against cancer, at the age of 72. Gracie will be remembered for her spirit and most especially for her unbounded love of her family and friends. For 55 years, she was the dear wife, best friend and soul mate of Ronald "Buddy" McAdam. She will always remain a devoted and loving mother of Deborah (Bob) Mitchell and Randall McAdam; very special grandmother of Allan (Pamela) Pilon, Gregory (Kristen Keyes) Pilon, Austin and Laura Mitchell; and, cherished great-grandmother of Taylor, Joshua and Mathew Pilon. Gracie was predeceased by her father and mother, Arthur and Sadie Gallipeau. She leaves behind her dear sister, Joan (Ronald) Cassell, and her brother, Joseph (Diane) Gallipeau. She was also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, Nicholas and Pearl McAdam. She will be sadly missed by her sister and brother-in-laws' Linda (Dr. David) Head, Claire (the late Sammy) McAdam, and Janice (Dr. Thomas) Hayes. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her extended family, and many, many good friends. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church on Wednesday at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
