It is with great sadness, we announce the death of Goold Borrowman on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 at his home in Middleville. Goold was the husband of Agnes (Toots) Creighton for 65 years and the son of the late Wesley and Viola (Moffatt) Borrowman. Goold was predeceased by a brother John (Jennie) and sisters Beulah (Carl) Bach, Mary (Arleigh) Morrison and Roberta Borrowman. Surviving are brother-in-law Wilson Creighton and sisters-in-law June Somerville and Elaine Creighton. Left to mourn are four children and their families: son, Gene (Alice), grandchildren Victoria, Russ (Susan) and great grandson Hudson, daughter Vivian (late Laurie) Munroe, grandchildren Wade, Tricia (James) Coupland and great grandchildren Jess & Dylan; daughter June (Arnold) Gibson, grandchildren Kristy and her daughter Kallie, Shawn, Brooke, Gena (Scott Wark) and great grandchildren Shayna and Nikki; son Ian, granddaughter Sherry (Todd Milotte) and great grandchildren Owen and Isaac. Goold played and coached hockey and baseball for many years in the Lanark Area. He was a lifetime member of the Lanark Civitan and will be greatly missed by the community for his personal and business contributions. Friends may pay their respects at the Young Funeral Home, Lanark on Monday, July 26th, 2010 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral service will be held in Trinity United Church, Middleville on Tuesday at 11 A.M. with Rev. Rod Bennett officiating. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Middleville. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Trinity United Church or a memorial fund of choice.
