It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Ivy Maxine Munz on Monday, June 12, 2023 at the age of 77. Ivy was predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate David Munz. Loving mother, friend and hero to Krista Munz (Mike Phillips) and Tracey Munz-Paisley (Troy Paisley) and devoted Nana to Liam, Owen, Ella (Paisley), Evan and Oliver (Phillips). Ivy was born on July 7, 1945 in Elliston, Newfoundland and proudly maintained her connection to the “rock” and extended family. She will be deeply missed by her many cherished friends and family members whose lives she touched. Ivy’s sparkling smile always lit up a room and she will be remembered for her kindness, laughter, and generous spirit. The family wishes to thank Dr. Visentin, Dr. Clemons and Dr. Malouf for their compassionate care as well as the staff at Foxview Retirement Community for their warmth and commitment to making Ivy’s final days peaceful. Friends may visit the family for a Celebration of Ivy’s Life at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street, Perth on July 7, 2023. A sharing of memories will be held from 1:30-2:00 pm in the chapel followed by a reception from 2:00-4:00 pm. Those who wish to honour Ivy’s life with a memorial donation are asked to consider Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or the Local Dementia Society of Lanark County.
