Chris affected the lives of many youth through the years - myself included! I am very glad to have spent some time with him again in 2021 when a hiking trail at Whispering Pines Scout Camp, was dedicated to his name.

We were at Whispering Pines, and he was helping us to learn and earn our BP Woodsman badge. We needed to make a fire. Jamie kept asking him for all kinds of things that he just didn't have. But when she said she needed some sticks, flustered by all the other questions he replied "Well sticks don't just grow on trees!" And we all laughed when he realized the statement he had just made

Chris would be happy to hear this story and to know it left an impact. It is nice to hear funny stories about our Uncle and he loved scouting and everyone involved. Thank you for sharing this. We had a laugh about it too!
