Obituary of John Quattrocchi
With profound sadness, and surrounded by his family, on Saturday July 15th , 2023, at the age of 64.
Beloved husband of Angela (nee Wodzak) for 40 years. Doating father to Katherine, and Thomas (Samantha). Beloved son of Mary and the late Augustus “Gus”. Loving brother of Anne (Dave), Joe (Carol), and Annette (Derick). John will be lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Wilma (the late George), Brother-in-law of Kevin (Vicki), Randy, and Jeff (Emi), his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
John’s favourite pastimes were going for weekend long drives in his Mustang with Angela and extended family, puttering in the garden from sun-up to sun-down, cruising the Caribbean, and lending a hand to help friends, family and neighbours.
John was an accomplished and generous, intellectual who after learning his strong work ethic growing up in the family business graduated Queen’s University with Honours. A CPA articling with Coopers and Lybrand, working tirelessly as Executive Vice President and CFO at The Dorchester Corporation alongside Morris Shohet where he leaves his legacy as a loyal partner and collaborator with uncompromising integrity in all aspects of his business and home life. John was the person who enabled Morrie at work and Angela at home to achieve their vision. He was as much a part of his work family as he was his family at home and incredibly loved by both. The first to step up to the plate and the last to step away.
God, you have our John with you we miss him achingly,
he helped us grow, he loved us so, made dreams reality,
We trust you Lord to keep John safe from morning into night,
So he can watch his family grow and know we are allright,
He helped his colleagues, friends and neighbours,
‘til the job was done
And afterwards, when gathering, he knew to have some fun,
Pray for him, he loves you so, you led him on his way,
Until the time we meet again, we’ll cherish everyday.
Angela, Katherine and Thomas
