I also recall many trips to your Mom's shop when I was younger. My Mom (Georgina Himmelman) and Sophia were very good friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

My sincere condolenses to the family to hear of her death. A very well respected business owner and best candy maker in Canada. Sophie was a special lady in my earlier years, she always knew when my eyes were big looking into the glass, a sample was in order to test. She was just on mind the other day when I was speaking of great Christmas memories and heading to her shop while shopping for Christmas presents.
She will be sadly missed but not ever forgotten.

I remember going to "Haggis" when I was growing up in Perth. I was so excited when I was finally tall enough to see over the counter.If we were "good little girls" she let us go into the kitchen. She was as special as her candy. I was absolutely flooded with wonderful memories when I heard her name again. She will be missed.

lots of memories
As a child growing up in Perth, Haggis's candy store was a magical place. I still remember the excitement when our Easter egg came from that store. The window was something I have never seen since. It was beautiful especially at Easter (eggs decorated beautifully) and Christmas with the home made candy canes & Christmas candies
