Doug, Dennis, Brenda, and your families:
With sadness, I reflect on the passing of Uncle Harry. I remember in childhood, Sunday afternoon visits to the farm. While the adults would visit, the cousins would find mischievous things to do outside. In the later years, Harry always showed delight in having a visit at the Rideau Ferry Retirement Home. A modest and grateful man, I found him comfortable and content.
Our families shared a tumultuous time in 1969. Harry and my father became seriously ill in October. In the same ambulance, the brothers required transfer to Kingston General Hospital, where they were together in the same room at least for a couple of weeks. Their medical conditions were alike. This certainly captured the interest of the medical staff that looked after them. Harry developed more complications and the gravity of his condition remains with me 43 years later. Thankfully, he recovered well and could enjoy a long, rewarding, life, blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Susan, John and I give our heartfelt sympathy. Sincerely, Fred

On this date January 9, 1930 Harry wrote in Mom's autograph book..".when you are home and washing dishes, think of me and my good wishes" and Evelyn Mather wrote"May the pearly gates of heaven,Far above the bright,blue sky,Open wide some day dear Margaret to welcome you and I."
What a grand reunion they must be enjoying and what wonderful memories they have left us!

Our sympathy to the Mather family. However we can't help but smile looking at Mom and Harry side by side in the EMC.
