I was so sorry to hear of Nathan's passing. He was a very special gentleman. I knew Nathan first when he was custodian at the law office where I worked and then later as he was friends with some of the young people in the youth group that I had the privilege to work with many years ago.
I know we will see Nathan again as he dearly loved his Lord and Saviour. Cindy, I have not met you, but you and the family are in my prayers at this time.

My thoughts and prayers remain with your family at this time. This was a shock for so many people who loved Nathan.
Nathan was so helpful with me,and always so pleasant with his greetings. I had challenges in walking stairs, and he was never to busy to assist me either by taking my arm,or helping me with the lift at church.
May you feel the loving arms of Christ and loved ones around you.

Hello Cindy and Nathan's Family,
I am so saddened by the news of Nathan's recent sojurn in hospital and his ultimate passing. I had just gotten to know Nathan at St. Paul's, as I recently assumed the Chair of Ministry and Personnel in February of this year. Nathan attended the CPR training that I organized for the staff and volunteers at St. Paul's. I have also recently worked in the office to relieve Joanne when she was away over March break. During that time, Nathan was so kind and caring of me as a newbie in the office. he made sure I got in each day, that the office was open and accessible, and shared with me his beloved cell phone number, which he was reticent to share with too many people, so that I could connect with him in the vast building when I needed to talk to him.
I really came to love Nathan, as a colleague and as a support. I am so sad that we will no longer be working together. As I said, I was just getting to know a wonderful person in Nathan, and I will miss him dearly.
Cindy, you and I have not met; unfortunately I was unable to be there when we celebrated Nathan's 25th Anniversary of Years of Service at St. Paul's. (I was in Ottawa, celebrating my son's and daughter-in-law's birth of their first child, our 4th grandchild. His name is Arley Best, and he is now 2 weeks old.
I am sorry I cannot be there for Nathan's funeral. My husband and I are in Naples, Florida and I cannot get back to Perth readily, given that we drove down here and plan to be here for 4 more weeks.
Perhaps, Cindy, you and I can meet up with each other sometime in May, when I return.
Love to you and your family....and Blessings,
Dawn

Dear Mrs. Carroll, I went on the St.Paul's website this morning to arrange to teach a singing lesson there and I saw the notice of your husband Nathan's death. Please accept my deepest condolences. I am a singer from Ottawa that did a little concert with Brad last summer and have used the choir room a few times to teach lessons in Perth. I was introduced to Nathan and just met him a few times in the halls but he was such a quiet and assuring presence and his service to St.Paul's will not be quickly forgotten I am sure.Again I am so sorry for the loss of your dear husband. Yours, Phyllis Knox soprano, Ottawa Ontario

Nickname
I remember when I was in grade 5, over at the Carroll's house to hang out with Timmy. Nathan gave me the nickname "Tomorrow" and would say "It's nice to see you today Tomorrow!" It became a tradition to refer to me as that and every time I was over Timmy and Nathan would be laughing together about it. Funny/sweet memory <3
