Passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the age of 53. Beloved husband and best friend of Darlene (nee Bradford). Loving father of Jason Wills, Olivia (Ron) Rose and Laura-Beth Wills (Mike Stevens). Cherished grandfather of Cody, Shay, Skyra, Paige, Miah, Faith, Aidan, Odessa, Alyssa and baby Kolton (on the way). He is predeceased by his parents Delmer and Grace (nee Beamish) as well as his brothers Grant and Robert Dopson. Brent will be sadly missed by his siblings Richard (Eva) Dopson, Garry (Helen) Dopson, Linda (Len) Duynisveld, Nancy Cameron, Bill (Peggy) Dopson and Carol-Ann Dopson. He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Arlene, his nieces, nephews, extended family including Darlene's family, as well as his many friends in the Smiths Falls and surrounding community. The family would like to thank the staff at both the Smiths Falls and Kingston General Hospitals for their care and concern during the last number of days and weeks. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will follow on Friday at the First Baptist Church, Smiths Falls at 11 o'clock. Private interment will take place at a later date. If desired, you are welcome to make a donation in Brent's name to Kayaking for Cancer, an organization Brent volunteered at joyously over the last number of years, or to the First Century Foundations.
