With a sad heart I read of A.J.'s passing this evening. A.J. was such a special man and I had loads of fun with him, not only as a young child on the bus listening to him play the mouth organ, but as I got older. A.J. had a special song that he always sang to me "The Old Rocking Chair" and I will always treasure those memories. My love and sympathy to you Emma as well as your loving family. It is with sadness I learn of AJ's passing. At the same time I can't help but smile at the memories of the stories he used to tell. Like his first ice cream cone. Eating the ice cream and throwing the cone away thinking it was cardboard. Thanks for the memories - our thoughts go to Emma and family.

AJ was a great story teller and had a great sense of humour. I can fondly recall many times that he would entertain us with his talents. I also remember him and Grandpa playing the fiddle together. Our deepest sympathies to the family. He will be greatly missed.

Memories
Some of my favorite memories of AJ are of the wonderful and funny stories he told. He spoke often of the old days. As newcomers to Clyde Forks we really like the old yarns. Stewart and I both enjoyed the Fiddle music, but for me it was always the great stories. Both Emma and AJ were so kind and helpful to us in those days. The Desjardine home was always a fun place to visit and the house was very often full of friends and family. I will always cherish these memories.
