Patty Warren was a member of the First Oakville Land Rangers, (the senior branch of Girl Guides), and was our third President in 1966-67. Patty earned her Gold Cord (now the Canada Cord), Guiding's highest achievement, and the accomplishments and beliefs of her Guiding years profoundly shaped her future. Patty was then - and remained throughout her life - a leader of her peers, a stalwart friend, wise, thoughtful and profoundly kind.
The First Oakville Lands have lost a cherished and wonderful friend. Patty, we will miss you. The Rangers and Mrs. B.

Pat and I met in 1972, so many wonderful memories, she was a very dear friend. I will share one memory. We travelled to Europe together in 1973 with EURail passes, the guidebook entitiled "Europe on $10 a Day" and way too much luggage. Our shared adventures continued to provide us laughs for the last 40 years. Like so many of you sharing memories and condolences on this site I am so grateful for having had Pat in my life.

As an educator, Pat effectively inspired people she hardly knew! Her passion for children was clear and present in everything she shared as an administrator. Happy to have worked on a committee however briefly. She leaves a legacy of positive energy and enthusiasm.

My heart goes to you Garry and all the members of Pat's family. Pat was an exceptional women, always positive, strong and good hearted.
Our path crossed a few months ago when my husband Gérald Hurtubise was in the midst of his battle with cancer. They were both fighting for there lives and she understood what Gerry was going through. Forgetting her own agenda with this decease, she took the time to visit us, she talked about the good old days, made it a point to share her appreciation of Gerald's leadership and managed to make us laugh; that was the kind of person she was. Gerald past away a few week later and this precious encounter gave him peace.
I am in San Fransisco at the moment and will not be able to attend the service, but I truly want to tell you that I deeply appreciated and loved this great women. I find it comforting knowing that she is close to the man I loved, and that we are under her protecting angel's wings.
Love Lise

Cousin Pat
I was 6 years old on April 10, 1949 when I was allowed to answer the phone for the first time ever. It was my Uncle Keith saying that he had become a father. He said he had a daughter Patricia.
For all we lived many hundred miles away from Uncle Keith and Aunt Mary, I knew them and the call really meant something to me. I had a cousin and I was very glad that cousin was a girl.
I have memories from childhood right through to recent years. Pat was always special and caring. I can picture her in Oakville and Prince Edward Island at the reunions.
All the best everyone.
