I am very saddened at the sudden loss of a cousin who used to play a big part in my life. Although these past years have seen us more apart than together my love and admiration for Jaqueline have not diminished. I, like her, hold strong Christian beliefs and I KNOW she is now with our Creator and that is our ultimate goal in this life, for when we graduate to the next. The pain now felt by Howard and the children will hopefully subside as they continue forward and be replaced with the knowledge they will meet with her again, when their turn comes. We must remember that she is now in the best place possible and she will be watching over all her loved ones to help us through the rest of our time in our earthly forms.

I met Jackie on the Merrickville Art Tour at her studio. Her work inspired me to start painting again as her style was wonderful. I had hoped to see her again. I will never forget her warm manner and how she helped me get started on my watercolours. I just wanted the family to know how much she meant to someone else. She will be missed but her paintings live on.

Ski trip to Banff
A number of years ago, a group of us took a ski trip out to Banff. This was my first ski trip to the Rockies, and Howard and Jackie were with us. All of us were skiing, except Jackie and my mother, Mary Pilkey. The two ladies got to know each other quite well over the week, as they spent time together. She was such a lovely and gracious lady. Howard, the avid skiier he was, got some of us in over our heads on the slopes, but it made us better skiiers. We had a great trip with them, and I am glad that I got to know both of them.
