Johnsen, Edith D. Peacefully in hospital in Perth on Saturday October 12th, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Edith was predeceased by her cherished daughter Else and grandson Christopher Hastings. She will be sadly missed by her son-in-law John Hastings, her sister Solveigh Markhauser, her nieces and nephews Fred, Peter, George and Stephen Markhauser, Karin Braidwood, Judy Oliver and Silvia Crawford. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends, neighbours and those she met during her 20 years as a dedicated volunteer with the Auxiliary of the Great War Memorial Hospital in Perth. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Friday October 18th, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 10:30 A.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Those wishing to honour Edith's life are asked to consider a memorial donation to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation.
