Hi Betty,
I am so sorry for your loss. Having lost my wife Jan three months ago today, I have a pretty good idea how you must feel and how tough it will be the next while. I thought that knowing Jan's death was imminent for 29 weeks would better prepare me for the pain and tremendous feeling of loss, but apparently not. I'm not close geographically, but electronically I am at your side. If you need me, I am here. And I know all your other bridge buddies are too.

Dear Betty and Family, We are so sorry about Bruce. He was much too young to go so soon. You and Bruce have been part of our life for 18 years. We had many fun times square dancing together and with you and all the square dance couples we met and spent time with over the years. We fondly remember our group and the time we spent at the Bennett family cottage on Georgian Bay and many other fun times together in Perth and on Dalhousie Lake. We are so sorry to hear of Bruce's demise. He was such a kind & loving person. As a couple we thoroughly enjoyed square dancing
with you both in Perth,On., Carleton Place & Mesa, AZ. Bruce was loved by everyone. He was friendly, passionate & a great friend to all that knew him. We will miss him. Bruce has suffered for a long time. The good Lord has called him home to a better place where he will suffer no more. God bless you Betty & family.

We bought furniture from Bruce in the early 1990s for our cottage, and we had a delightful afternoon chat with him when he delivered it. He made Country Lane Antiques a wonderful business for both products and the human touch. We remember him when we look at our table, chairs and sideboard at Pike Lake and our Nova Scotia blanket box at home. He enriched our lives and that of many people in many ways, and he will be missed.
