Shawna & Erin, Our thoughts & prayers are with both of you, your families and extended family.
John was an absolutely delightful, kind-hearted man. We must have bowled with John on the same team for at least 15 years, late 80's to early 2000's. How he loved his bowling, 3-4 nights a week. His pride & joy was you girls and we always enjoyed seeing both of you many nights with him down at Gratton Lanes.
Rest in peace John. We know you'll be bowling up in heaven with a lot of your other teammates who have passed on. Ken & Sharon

We send condolences to all of John’s family. We knew John for many years and spent many happy times together. We enjoyed bowling with John for years, spending time at banquets and bowling parties. John was so easy going that everyone liked him and we were always happy to have him on our team, not only for bowling but for life as well. We will miss seeing John’s smile and hearing his voice.

We were deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your father, father in law and grandfather. May it comfort you all a little to know that we care about the sorrow you feel and that we are thinking about you. John will be sadly missed by the staff at Gratton Lanes and by the many bowlers that he bowled with throughout the years.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. I was lucky enough to bowl with him in the summer league of 2013. He was always smiling or laughing. He always had encouraging words for his teammates especially the less experienced ones like me. He always made you remember that it was just a game and that you were there for a good time. I always enjoyed talking with him and I'll remember him everytime I see a 'Dammit Doll'. He sure liked to whack that thing when he was having a bad game, laughing the whole time.
