To Doris' Family:-
Oh how you will miss that laugh that lit up the room. I know I will. What a kind, thoughtful, caring person she was. I also remember from Stedmans (over 60 years ago) and of course from the Salvation Army. Know one will ever know the people she touched when she was there. She was so proud of all of you, and mentioned you often. I will remember her always with a smile.

Not far from where we live a young couple sold their property, bought across the road and called their farm ACRAOSS THE ROAD. Long time ago across the road I had Marion, Doris, Sheila, and Rona. Friday night was TV at their house because we had no TV. There was boxing, news, a late movie, and lunch on TV trays. We were first cousins, then and now. Funny the things that stick in the old head. Glen Tay school, skating at the Bowes rink, Christie Lake , walking from school, and later driving to and from the dairy and picking up school children on route.
Now one less cousin, one less neighbor.
Thinking hard, I remember the date late in Febuary. Birthdays etc.
Keep well you guys.
Norm and family.

Norm was kind enough to contact me about Doris's passing. Time passes us by and we become scattered across this great country and sometimes lose sight of family and friends. It is times like this that make us feel guilty about not keeping in touch with those family and friends from our formative years. Now there is only one Doris "CHAPLIN" left and she is approaching 91 years of age. My thoughts and prayers are with all of your families at this time of loss.
