Dear Sam and John and clan; I sure did enjoy the visit with your Mom and Dad when they came to Nova Scotia and I know they always wanted to come back. They were both great people and I know you will miss them dearly. Love and hugs to you all and know you will be in my thoughts the next few days. Susie

Val and I want to extend our love and support to Sandra, Charlie and Penny at this time. I can't think of my Aunt Nellie without thinking of my Uncle Bill. The two were insperable in life and now will be inseparable in death. They will now live in eternity with their Lord and Saviour. I have so many wonderful memories of my dear Aunt Nellie. Nellie and Bill were at many important events in my life. Thanksgiving, Easter, my birthdays, my high school graduation, my wedding, etc. They provided tremendous love and support to my family when my mother passed on. They helped to teach me how important family is and were always at any special family event. They taught me how live, love and enjoy life.

Penny and family, so very sorry to hear of your mom passing, just know that she is smiling and watching over you all. She is at peace. Hope this little poem will give you comfort.
Just One Day
If I could come back for just one day
I know exactly what I would say
To my family and friends and those who I loved
As a message from God who speaks from above.
I would say it’s okay to be sad for awhile
But what I really want most is to see your smile
And for you to go on and live once again –
Allowing the Lord to comfort your pain.
I know that you loved me with all of your heart
And that none of you wanted for me to depart.
I don’t quite understand it myself
But I know you’ll get by with a little help.
Yes, I would say to be sad for a day
And to do what you need to do
And then life up your eyes to the wonder of the sky
And know that I loved you very, very much.

To Helen's family. You will not know my wife or myself as we live in Toronto. BUT, being from Smith's Falls we often come home for visits. It was on one of those visits several years ago that we had the blessed opportunity to meet both Bill and Helen. A kinder, sweeter, more caring couple we have never met. We had the opportunity to socialize with them on several occasions while home visiting and we always came away feeling enriched because of the time we spent with them. We take this opportunity to leave this message so that you know as well as my wife and I, I'm sure there are many, many more people whose lives have been touched by your wonderful parents, that you will never have the opportunity to meet or know. Our prayers are with you at this time. God Bless You!

To a special Aunt

Dear Sandra, Charlie, Penny and families,

Our heartfelt condolences on Aunt Nell's crossing over. I can only imagine the jubilation in Heaven when your Mom and Dad met up again. I cherish the memories of spending time with your family both in Manotick and Smith's Falls. Fishing! Now those were the days! Aunt Nell and Uncle Bill were real special and you kids just added more fun to the mix... Lots of love and hugs, Edith and Ross

How many great memories I have...

some of my best summer memories were spent with Aunt Nellie and Uncle Bill...so many camping trips to Vermont, Old Orchard Beach..Aunt Nellie would always have a smile and laugh for me and a big, smothering hug...I can still her as clear as day yelling "Bill" when he would crack a joke or prank on her and gram...The world is definately a sadder, duller place without her smile and laughter...<3
