I'm sorry to hear of Mrs. Besseau's passing and wish her family sympathy as they "send her on". I am sure that joy she brought to so many celebrations and the comfort she gave so often on more serious occasions will be returned to her a thousand fold. With her lifetime of giving, and the beautiful family she raised, she has certainly left a great legacy.

My sincerest love to all of Marg's family......I truly cannot remember a time in my life when I didn't know Marg. She was a kind, delightful woman who always made me smile, even as a kid.
My mom especially loved Marg and could listen to her sing endlessly. Needless to say, when my mom passed away suddenly many years ago, it was only natural that we would ask Marg to sing at the funeral. Marg did not hesitate in taking the day off work to be there to sing, one last time, for mom. I have always loved her for that.
To Chris, Peter, Sheila and the rest of the family, you are in my thoughts, in my prayers, and in my heart! And Chris, an especially big hug for you!

To Peter and your family, I extend my wholehearted condolences. I remember singing with your mother in the St. Francis choir in Grades 9 and 10. She had a wonderful voice and a great sense of humour. She was a blessing to your family. I also did not realize that her maiden name was Traynor, as was my mother's. Therefore, we are probably cousins. My mom was from Westport, although I know that she had relatives in Perth, Smiths Falls, and Kingston. The name of your uncle Jack rings a bell as well. As my parents have passed, also, my thoughts and prayers are with all, at what I know is a very difficult time.

Memories of my Favourite Babysitter

Marg used to babysit my brother and sister and I as well did Eilleen and Martha. Marg would sing to us to get us to stay in bed at night and I always said to her when I get married I want you to sing at my wedding. Many years later she did just that. She sang like an angel.

I had the opportunity of driving Marg to one of her appointments earlier this summer and we had a wonderful opportunity to reminice about the old days. I was about 12 when I hitchkiked to Smiths Falls to visit Marg and after we had a visit and a much necessary chat about never hitchiking again she got us back to Perth.

She was a beautiful woman, mother, grandmother and I am blessed to have known her. Rest in Peace Margaret.

I am sorry I am not to attend.

"Ava Maria"

Dear Marg Besseau:

You will be very missed here on earth by everyone who encountered you. We were very blessed to live on both sides of your family (Able Street). I was extra blessed that you were living at the Spinelli Farm when my daughter Sara was baptized and we could have the reception at a place so familar.

We all loved your sense of humur, smile, laughter and your voice!

You changed "Ava Maria" for myself, my family and I am sure many others.

I had a dream Saturday night that you were singing this very song to my mother.

I am very sad that you left this world, but also glad the my mother has her very dear friend at her side.

Rest in peace and without pain.

sweet memories

We were among the hundreds of families who were lucky enough to have Marg as soloist at each of our childrens weddings. When I heard the news I listened to her sing the Ave Maria at my daughter's ceremony, how beautiful. How wondeful to be able to listen to that sweet voice again and again. We were blessed to be able to call her friend. Marg has joined Heaven's choir, rest in peace dear lady.
