McParlan, Gerald Daniel (1917 -2008) Peacefully at Smiths Falls District Hospital on Monday, June 30, 2008, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Doris Code. Dear father of Gail Atkinson (Don) and father-in-law of Richard Edwards (Verna), BJ Trombley and Thelma McParlan. Much loved "Pappy" of 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Brother of Ida McIntyre, Jim McParlan, Josie Kerr, Helen Scace and Ed McParlan. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by son Ronald "Pat" McParlan, daughter Brenda Edwards, grandsons Kevin and Timmy, brother Alphonsus McParlan and sisters Evelyn McParlan, Bonnie Leonard, Pauline Quigley and Sister Regina McParlan. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, on Friday, July 4th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls, on Saturday, July 5th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery.
