Thomson, David McIntosh WWII Veteran-Service Corps 1921-2008 Peacefully after a long life, David McIntosh Thomson passed away on July 6, 2008 at his residence. David is survived by his beloved wife Betty, his loving daughter Margaret (Fred) Barkhouse, his grandson Steven (Tracey) his great grandchildren Vanessa and Braxton, and his sister Elizabeth Smyth. David was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Ambridge, and Ruth Nako and his brother Jack. Visitation will be held at Young Funeral Home, Lanark ,Ontario Wednesday, July 9th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday July 10th at 11: 00 a.m. in St. Andrew's United Church, Watson's Corners. Interment St. Andrew's Cemetery, Watson's Corners followed by a reception in the Watson's Corners, Community Hall. In remembrance, contributions to Lanark Lodge Memorial Fund would be appreciated. Branch 395 Lanark will hold a Veteran's Service of Remembrance at the Young Funeral Home, Lanark on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m.
