Justin ,Jessica we want to tell you guys that we are really sorry to hear about your MOM .We know how wonderful of a mother she 's been to you. Denis,, Sandy told me how happy she was with you. Sandy and I met as neighbour and later as being one of her patient. She is an outstanding human being; filled with compassion .I consider myself one of the lucky one, which had the privilege to know her. My husband and our sons Xavier and Sebastien are joining me to say that our thought are with you and your families.

On behalf of the Board and staff of Rideau Community Health Services I want to extend our sincere condolences to Sandy's family, friends and colleagues. For over 20 years Sandy worked as a caring and compassionate nurse. Her time with our organization saw her work at both the Merrickville Community Health Centre and Rideau Valley Diabetes Service. She was loved and respected by our patients and fellow staff. She touched us all with her warmth and love. The world has lost a great nurse and human being.

In Memory of Sandy...
And as Little Bird flew higher she felt lighter. It was so effortless. She was soaring and diving and spinning and climbing. She was so fast and light! And she was singing with such a pure tone. She trilled and whistled and spun and whirled. And she climbed higher and higher. And the sun felt so warm and she felt so free. Her home, the familiar forest, fell farther and farther away. And as it did she was able to see all the corners of the woods she’d paused at in her life and the colours were wonderful. How could she know they were all the more beautiful for her having been there? She could almost see forever now. Her wings were so strong and so bright. And soon it felt as though they were scarcely moving at all and the wind made no sound as it moved over her feathers. And yet, still she climbed! And now the only sounds she heard were the distant happy voices of hundreds and hundreds of friends, and those she’d loved even more than her friends, the pleasant hum lifting her higher still. Little Bird was somehow both alone and yet not at all. She was so happy and secure and warm. And as she sailed on through the sky she knew, without reservation, that she was loved so absolutely.

Dear Jessica, Justin, Denis and families,
A beautiful person taken much to soon! I worked with Sandy for many years at the Merrickville District Community Health Centre and will always remember her gentle caring nature. I have fond memories helping Sandy and Jess with wedding invitations before Jess and James's wedding. Sandy was so happy. My deepest sympathy to you all! I wish I could have attended Sandy's funeral service but I'm away in Toronto.

Sending a warm hug to Denis and Sandy's family as you go on to follow all the paths you've yet to walk. Sandy died too soon, and I cannot imagine your sorrow, as mine seems so very hard. Yes, all sacred promises now fulfilled for her, but our tears remain.
She was luminous. Into the Light, then, dear Sandy.
