Sincere sympathy to Beth and your family. I got to know John and Beth through Probus Club. There they enjoyed not only our meetings but our social events. John was a true gentleman and an interesting man to speak with. May all of your wonderful memories help to console you as you grieve and celebrate a life well lived.

We will always feel the warmth of paternal friendship that was extended to us from John as we sat through many Baha'i gatherings together. We loved his thoughtfulness and composure, his love of nature and his uprightness of character. Our heart felt love is extended to Beth, his sons and grandchildren, and to other friends of John, who no doubt are missing him. John is now on his spiritual journey in the heavenly realm...we hope to meet again there. Susan and Georges Marchand

Dearly loved and cherished friend Beth,
We just learned of the sorrowful passing of the much loved and admired John to the realms of infinite joy and enlightenment following a terrible accident which also has afflicted you seriously. We fondly remember dear John who with his purity of heart and sincerity of his love captured our heart. Those bygone days with you and John were most precious and we still remember them fondly. And we are truly sorry that you had serious injuries in the car accident and since then and that are still in the process of recovery. May the blessings of the Blessed Beauty surround the dedicated soul of dear John and bring you rapid and complete recovery. Although we are physically far from you, from Victoria we are with you in heart and soul, send our deep and abiding love, and offer ardent prayers that the best be bestowed upon all involved in this time of affliction.
Much love, Hossain and Michele Danesh

Dear Beth,
I was very sorry to learn of John's passing to the next world. I did not know John well, but I knew his fine reputation in the Baha'i Community. I know that he will continue to shed his love upon you from the next world. You may not remember me, but we both served on the editorial board of ABS. I still remember your fine integrity in that service. I will say prayers for you both. Love, Phyllis

Our sincere condolences to the family of John. Although I did not personally know John well, I am aware of his major contributions to the Eastern Ontario Model Forest and I had the pleasure of sharing membership on the Lanark Stewardship Council with Andy Kerr-Wilson.

Our sincere sympathy to Beth and family. I remember John's involvement in the Lanark County Envirothon as well as the Perth Probus Club. His contributions as an environmental scholar and teacher will be remembered. His son, Andy continues to demonstrate the same principles of his father as I had a close association with Andy through the Envirothon movement.
