Terri, Karen , Heather and families. The loss of a Mother is one of the hardest we have to bare and I don't think that it is until we are mothers of daughters that we truly understand the mother/daughter bond. Distance has kept me and my family from being a closer part of my Ontario family, but every time your Mom and I did have a chance to visit she always let me know how proud she was of her three girls and how much she loved her grandchildren. She was always telling me stories of how special they were and what wonderful things they were doing. I will miss Aunt Joan, a terrific number of my own childhood memories have her wrapped up in them and I always enjoyed staying with her and Uncle Don when we visited. As you mourn her loss you will see her pop up in so many daily things, from the very way you raise your children, the way you view life itself and even in the way you talk, laugh and cry. Her legacy will live on in your children and their children. She was one terrific lady and will truly be missed. I am so sorry that I can't be their but you will all be in my prayers, especially on Monday.
