John "Alfie" Fox posted a condolence
Always had great respect for John especially after he stood up for me as my Best Man in Sept 1964 [when I married Ruth] when I didn't know a soul in Canada.
Rest in peace John.

Ruth and John Fox posted a condolence
Ruth and I were sorry to hear that John had finally passed away. In a way we were relived that he would no longer be uncomfortable.
We are sorry for Patricia's loss and we especially feel for the boys, Greg, Dave, Chris and Robin, who loved their Dad.
We remember good times, now long gone (like hiding the new Mustang that John bought for Pat one Christmas).
John was a good man, as many, especially in Smiths Falls will attest to .... and us in Ottawa.
Our condolences to all the Smith family both near and far.
Ruth and Alfie (John) Fox

Swimming
Swimming with dad was always fun...he would float on his back laying still and then blow water straight up like a whale breaching. It never failed to amuse me.
