Shirley, Doug, Diana, Brian and Paul and Families, please accept my sincere condolences for the passing of your dear Mother. Years ago, I started sending a Christmas card to your Mom, in response she would call me and we would have a wonderful talk. She asked me why I thought of her, I let her know that she and her family influenced many fond memories I have growing up at "the Corner.” I remember your Mom teaching me to sew in 4H at the Barrie homestead, her homemade treats at Halloween and visiting her with Shirley Gorham. I know they are reunited now; their friendship was dear to both of them.

My heart, prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time. I was lucky to have known Verna. I will cherish our conversations and our laughs we shared during my visits to her home. As a nurse we are taught to respect boundaries but some times special people like Verna enter our lives and we absolutely love them. Verna, you truly did enrich my life!
