I remember Maya and Andre at Stewart school when they were kids. Andre was in my Grade 7 class, and he was a wonderful protective big brother. I cannot imagine the extreme sadness of losing a child and sister so young. My sincere condolences to the family.

I didnt know Maya that well, but the bit that I did I knew Maya was such an outgoing lovely person to be around.. she did and said what she wanted and didn't care what anyone would say. By far one of the best people I have ever met.. Would make others smile even if she wasn't. She's going to be missed so much :( my condolence goes to Maya's family and friends. Xoxox :( seems so surreal, just seems so sudden and unfair.

Maya, words cannot express how sad I am about your passing. I will always treasure your last summer when you and your radiate mother and I explored the Rideau river from to Poonamalie to Foley Mountain. Especially our stay at the cottages on Rideau lake and Paterson Lake . My favorite was the pontoon boat trip on Big Rideau when the three of us swam in the middle of the lake, alone on that perfect day ...I will never forget your smiling face as you swam and how happy your mom was.
