Howard, John E. Peacefully in the presence of his family at his home in Perth on Saturday February 28th, 2009 John E. Howard (founder in 1971 of the Perth Giant Tiger) in his 84th year. He was in the 60th year of marriage to his loved wife Gertrude M. Desjardins; he will be sadly missed by daughters Patricia (Kevin) Ennis and their son Sean, Heather (Alan) Hughes and their sons Ryan and Martin, Linda (Brian) Ohlman and their son Bradley and daughter Stephanie, Lore (Alfie) Buffam and their daughters Jessica and Rebecca and son Jake, Jennifer (Steve) Irlen, sons John (Evelyn) and their daughters Kristina and Stacie and son Matthew, Michael and his sons John Paul and Danny and daughter Melanie and great grandchildren Cameron, Jade, Bryson and Quentin. Predeceased by daughter Nancy Marie who died in infancy. John will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends including his siblings David (Marg), Theresa (late Don) Wellstead, Jim (Gracia) and Gwen (Bill) Robson and sister-in-law June Howard; predeceased by sisters Beatrice Gregory, Margaret Flitton, Robert and Thomas Howard. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth Monday March 2nd, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Johns Church, Perth Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Interment Arnprior Cemetery.
