The countless hours that he dedicated to young people from around the world, so that they could have a better experience in their Canadian visit. His dedication & vision will be missed.

Dear Hanny,Mark,Ian and Karen, I was deeply sadenned to learn of Jan's sudden passing.He was a fine man who led his life as expressed in Rotary's 4 Way Test: Is it the truth Will it build good will and better friendships Is it fair to all concerned Is it beneficial to all concerned I respected his dedication to Rotary and it's ideals and I always felt he was the glue that held our club together.Unfortunately,I am out of the country and will not be able to attend the service but my thoughts and prayers are with your family and this difficult time. Honey I can't express how I felt when Monica read out Jan's obituary last night. Such a shock. We are both quite saddened.
