I am sorry for your loss. I enjoyed your father's company when he attended the Trinity United Church services held monthly. He always had a smile and was always willing to join is with the hymn singing.

Myles was a very kind man, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I was able to work with Myles when he was raising funds for the Seniors Activity Building, he did such a great job. Brent Whiten

My dad was my person, I am going to miss him terribly, there is definitely a piece of my heart that has gone with him. It is so comforting hearing some of the stories about him, his friends at Van Horne, the staff at Van Horne were wonderful to my dad. He seemed to be well liked. My dad was so social, had a positive outlook, listened to people, ( well when he could hear better he sure did), and smiled and laughed a lot. He loved his family, I know how proud he was of us, he told me , plus it was written all over his face when we were with him. Myself, my children, my grandchildren were so lucky to have him in our lives. My dad was so lost in the beginning without my mom, then 3 great grandchildren came along, that's all he talked about! I'm glad he was so happy, I'm glad he was my dad, I am sure going to miss you in my life! xoxoxo❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Had to put those red hearts in, seeing as that is his favorite colour.
Just want to thank Stephen Blair for taking us under his wing and knowing how special and instrumental my dad has been in the Smiths Falls Community and sharing these pictures, thank you again!

I had the best Grandpa a grandson could ask for. He was so good to myself, Adrianne and Jessica as kids. And he's been a Grandfather to my wife, Jenn, as well. He was so thrilled to have great grandchildren in his life. He talked about Izzy, Max and Blake always. I was so lucky to have a Grandpa that I wanted to spend so much time with. So many New Years Eve's I spent at my grandparents and I loved every second of it. We always had so much fun playing games and laughing. We played crokono together, Chinese Checkers, Battleship, table top hockey, and the list goes on and on. He was the kindest man I knew, and I'm going to miss him dearly. I do already. Mom, your Dad was so proud of you. He talked so highly of you all the time, and everything you've done for him. My Grandpa had an infectious laugh and personality. He was a gentle soul and even at 85, I feel like he's gone too soon. I wasn't ready to see him go. I know you are going to be with Grandma now and you both are going to be happy and healthy, looking down on all of us, and seeing Izzy, Max and Blake grow up. You said to me once, you're not just my grandson, you're my buddy. Well, you were my buddy too Grandpa, and I love you forever...

Grandpa, my heart is broken. It was so hard to lose you unexpectedly and that's why I am only writing in your obituary today. I wasn't ready to believe you are really gone. We are driving to the glen house resort to meet the family for Easter dinner and brunch tomorrow, you would have been with us tonight and you would have met your newest great grandson Blake. It's tough for Adrianne knowing you left this earth just a week shy of meeting him. God had other plans for you, there is comfort in knowing you didn't suffer and that you were happy right to the end.
If only, more humans could be like you, so positive and caring and giving. I don't remember ever hearing a negative word from you. Your entire being was full of love and warmth for all those around you.
You cared for grandma and were her rock at the end, you were inseparable.
Now you are together, we miss you both dearly, but have so many wonderful memories in our hearts.
Thank you for being my grandpa and for being such a good example of a kind heart and soul.
Life has changed, but time will never change how much we will always miss you.
Xoxoxo
Love Jess
