Cochrane, William J. Passed away in hospital, Smiths Falls on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 William James Cochrane in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Helen (Jay). Devoted father of Sandra (John) Taylor of Smiths Falls, Charles (Tammy) of Nanaimo, BC and Penny Ritskes (Paul Harris) of Brockville. He was predeceased by his brothers Vincent, Donald, Stuart, John and James Cochrane and his sisters Patricia Laing and Winnifred Cavanaugh. Bill will be fondly remembered by his 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special Thanks to the Medical Staff in B2 of the Ottawa Civic Hospital and the Smiths Falls Hospital for their tremendous care and concern for Bill over the last number of weeks. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, July 31, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 - 12:30. The funeral service will then be followed at the Bethel Pentecostal Church, Smiths Falls on Saturday at 1 o'clock. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Pentecostal Children's Ministry.
