What to say about Charlie. We have had a lot fun together. Though I haven’t seen you in a very long time. You introduced me to Stompin Tom. We would play it cranked in your old GMC through the a pair of Alpines I had given you. You added the Word Knubby Tucker to my vocabulary when we were off roading in his bronco and bounced so hard our heads hit the roof driving the Knubby Tuckers from our baseball hats into the top of our skulls. Charlie would often invite me to come see him and I said how am I going to get a hold of you and he said call me on the CB radio. Now I wish I had. Life lesson number one. Make sure to take the time because one day your friends are gone. My love to your friends and family.

Always had a smile.

Those of us who were lucky to work with Charlie at First Air were shocked and saddened to learn of his passing last week. Even though it has been 6 years since Charlie left First Air, he is still very fondly remembered by many of us. The important work he did to keep our ground support equipment running contributed to our success as an airline. His work mattered, and he was a valued employee. We extend our most sincere condolences to Nathan, Richard, Napatsie and Tuja and to the entire Bonselaar family.

We are so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. It was such a pleasure to work with him in Fallbrook. He was a great mechanic that was adored by his customers. I have many fond memories of playing the guitar with him, being in the bush, helping him build his new creation, enjoying many laughs, and of course listening to Stompin Tom. Rest in peace my friend.
