Beatrice was an amazing font of local history and was an independent, strong woman. We did not know her long but enjoyed our time with her. We were lucky to have her come to our Christmas Open House party and we will miss her.

Sending our sympathy as you grieve the loss of a dear sister and aunt. We and our kids and grandkids have wonderful memories of times shared with Beatrice at the beautiful Lamermoor farm. Our 20-something grandsons talk about how much they admired and learned from Bea's work ethic and her gracious spirit. One of them wrote, "Many great memories of spending time on her farm, learning about the local history, her family, and the basics of farming and gardening plants for consumption. Although she may be gone, the lessons she has taught through leading by example will never be forgotten. If we could all learn to live as Bea did - with a pure heart and an unwavering dedication to hard work and taking care of the people and planet around you - we would have many less problems in our lives."
And, of course, we remember with much appreciation Bea's years as a faithful employee of Glenayr Knit, and her kindness to Doug's Mom, especially when her health was failing.
God bless -
