Craig and Allison our hearts are saddened to hear of the passing of your beautiful, vibrant Mother. Julie touched our lives as our social worker when we were foster parents and became our friend. Our grandson serviced her lawn mower for her and she called me to express her appreciation and compliment us on the great young man he had become. Her love and devotion to her sweet grandson was evident in her smile and eyes. You will have so many wonderful memories to cherish and we will be watching for the brightest star in the sky tonight. Please accept our sincere sympathy.

Words cannot even begin to say what loss of Julie will be to her loved ones. A passionate free sprit Julie embraced what life handed her way whether happy times or sad times. She dealt with them. A creative soul in treating children whether through the care system, fostering with her husband, her art therapy to help hurt children speak through their drawings and yet a business woman in real estate, construction, and charity work. She enjoyed singing, art, drumming, knitting, and most of all laughing. Let her be a angel over someone in the beyond and she is now reunited with Mike. Rest gentle one

I am so saddened to hear of Julie's passing. Although I didn't know her very intimately, she was friends with many close to me and in my exchanges with her she was always enthusiastic, kind and incredibly supportive. She exuded creative passion and I was so inspired by all she had created in her lifetime. I'm sad that I will no longer experience her joyful expressions and greetings, and, somehow I feel her growing ever brighter in this transition. I am sending love to the family and all who loved her.

Dear Craig and Allison,
I was so saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. She was such a special lady and I was privileged to know her during both her periods at CAS. You were both young children when I knew your mum first.
My admiration for her passion for her family, her work and helping people knew no bounds. She was so compassionate and caring and always went the extra mile for everyone. When I was diagnosed with cancer, she was so sensitive and caring and I will never forget that.
I also loved her artistic flair and how she used this and her training in art therapy to help so many people. She was generous in sharing her many gifts with the world and brightened my day by seeing her smile or spending time in her office which reflected her personality.
We also dealt with some downright scary situations together and fortunately we were able to laugh about them afterwards. She was good in a tight corner!!
Over the years we shared many stories of family, fostering etc. As I am sure you know, she was so proud of you both and Ciarán was absolutely the light of her life!
My condolences to you in your tragic loss. May Julie Rest In Peace and I believe there is a bright star in the sky now watching over you and enfolding you in her love for the rest of your lives.
Sincerely
Sheila

Dear Craig and Allison,
Please accept my deepest condolences in the loss of your mother. Your mother was a lovely woman who touched many hearts throughout life. I used to babysit both of you, and Paul when he'd be visiting with your family in the stone house. Allison you were very young, under 2 years of age and Craig you were around 6. You wouldn't remember me, I don't think, but our parents would often go to functions together, and you'd come up to visit with your Mom and Dad, who was also a lovely person as well. Once again, I'm sorry for your loss.
Angela Dixon.

Old Friend

I worked with July when we were both teenagers, at Loblaws at Bank and Alta Vista.

We spent lots of time together and loved cruising in her 1965 red Mustang. What fun! We often went to Pembroke with it to spend the weekend with my maternal grandmother and she stayed overnight many times at my home with my parents - she lived in Blossom Park then on Bank street.

She was my maid of Honour at my wedding in September of 1969 and we remained close til she moved out of Ottawa and then (as often happens) we lost touch except for the occasional "gee we must get together" which didn't happen. Have spent time today going over my wedding pics and the pics of the shower she held for me at her parents house on Bank... wonderful memories of a very special person.
