Of course for years we would see Allen at Sylvania Lodge, and he'd always give the "nod" and say hello. When he moved to Rideau Ferry, he became friends with my father, and I would have a visit with both of them. They spent many afternoons together, ate their meals together, and it was a pleasure to hear his stories of old times, his childhood, and how our families were connected. The three of us shared ice cream more than one hot afternoon, and had a lot of laughs. I'll never forget that. He was good to dad, and I appreciated that very much. Rest in Peace A.J. Donna Hall
