Cauley, Michael ‘Stan’ Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in his 92nd year. He joins his wife and best friend of 62 years Theresa Cauley (nee Moore) who predeceased him in 2015. Loved and respected father of Anne (Rick) Plontz, Mary Lynn (Rob) Dales, Karen Donovan, Roger Cauley, Maureen (Tom) Douglas and Pat (Sheila) Cauley. Loving ‘Poppa’ of Angela Plontz (Kenny Proulx), and Joanne Plontz (Kyle Daigle), Chris (Lori), and Behn (Stephanie) Dales, Mike (Samantha Alexanian) and Lindsay (Adam Schofield) Donovan, Morgan (Ryan) Zurkowsky and Laura Douglas, Rebecca (William Earl), Brianna (Ryan Clark) and Sierra Cauley. "Great Poppa” to Maeve and Rhett Proulx, Cruz Brus, Charlie, Hudson, Stevie Lynn, Nash and Teddy Dales, Davis Earl and a 10th grandchild expected in November. He will be fondly remembered by his brother Anthony (Grace) Cauley and his sister Mary McKenna Coyne as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Cecilia Cauley, brothers Roger, Jordan, Joseph and Frank Cauley. Dad was an avid sports fan, serving on the Smiths Falls Minor Hockey Association and the Smiths Falls Tee-Ball Association. He and Mom had their favourite spots at every sporting event of their children and grandchildren, often travelling miles to cheer them on. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls, Friday, July 12, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Dad at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls. Private family interment will immediately follow the Mass at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to the Smiths Falls Hospital Foundation or the St. Francis de Sales Building Fund.
