Dear Connie, Glenn, and Kim, You have been family to us since the day you walked into our lives in 1979. We grieve with you the loss of a beautiful soul. Your family changed the course of our lives and shaped us into who we are today not by words but by actions and love. We have been through some very difficult things since we last saw you. It was the very faith and strength bestowed on us by all of you that that left us strong throughout that time. I hope you do not mind me posting this poem as an expression of both our sorrow and joy that Hubert and Muriel are together again. Much love always. the Barrie's Broke Free by deborah elaine barrie 1995© for Hubert Allen and adapted for Muriel Allen as it seems so fitting 2019© The earth seemed somehow dimmer As the heavens gained her light As she passed this night of darkness Into God’s morning light. Her Savior gently led her As she struggled deep within While the bonds of those who loved her Broke free………that she might win. Oh, the everlasting comfort Oh, the joy her soul does know Is the balm that heals the broken hearts Of those who let her go.
