My deepest sympathy to Joan's family. Richard and I were friends of Larry and Joan's for many years, from before they both retired from the National Research Council. My children and I have lots of fun memories of having them as our guests, of visiting them and of swimming, fishing, and snowmobiling with them. We will miss them both. Joan was the nicest lady one could ask for as a friend. She was a great hostess and it was so nice just to sit and chat with her. She will be missed. Patricia Stewart
