Dear Jane and family, You have my heart felt sympathy on the loss of your husband/father. I was your babysitter years ago. You'd remember me as Debbie Stewart from Aberdeen Street . Art was well respected at SFDCI and what a nice man. I am so sorry I wasn't there. I just saw it in the paper tonight and was shocked. I think a lot of you and your beautiful family. Dear Jane and family, So sorry to hear of Art's passing. We always had a chat and laugh over the years when he would stop into the store. I had the pleasure of having him for a teacher, 37 yrs ago. I could not believe Art had died when I read the notice. His name was mis-spelt, so I thought maybe not? But sadly, it is true. I knew Art when we were both at Lisgar and what a hero he was there. A football star and "big man on campus", he was someone we all looked up to. I have not seen him in 46 years, since grade 12, but I have never forgotten him and think fondly back to those exciting days when our futures were spread out before us. My deepest sympathies go out to his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a really great guy and a total gentleman.
