Obituary of Ethel May Ann Larmour
Larmour, Ethel (Valliquette)
Ethel passed away peacefully in hospital, Smiths Falls on Thursday, January 15, 2015 shortly after celebrating her 85th birthday on December 11th. Cherished wife of Hartzell G. (Tony) Larmour and predeceased by her first husband Bernard Valliquette, her parents Merton and Mary Buchanan, her brothers Glen, Donald and Cecil and her sister Vina. Survived by her sisters Jean Hanna and Joyce (Ozzie) Valliquette and sisters-in-law Barb Buchanan and Helen Kennedy. Loved and respected mother of Heather (Dave) Sloan, Kenneth (Robin) Valliquette, Anita (George) Hunter and step-mother of Linda (Dan) Russo and Greg Larmour (Line Cottier). Ethel loved all her grandchildren dearly; Brandon Sloan (Laura), Karen (Dave) Kirby, Erica (Steve) Ingleby, Everett and Eldon Hunter, Brett and Taylor Valliquette, Chris (Gillian), Matt and Jaquie Russo, Desiree (Jay) and Cole Larmour and she delighted in her great-grandchildren Sarah Sloan, Zoe Ingleby, Parker Kirby, Samantha, Nicolas, Madison, Scott, Ian and Mason Russo and Emily Ronan. Ethel will be fondly remembered by her many nieces,nephews, great-nieces and nephews, many wonderful friends, especially the Forbes family and Margie Ann McKinnon who provided her with care and support over the years. Ethel lived a full and rich life with many blessings. Her wonderful career spanned over 32 years at the former St. Francis Hospital and the former North Unit of the Smiths Falls Hospital. Her love of community, church, hospital career and most importantly family will be her legacy. Family and friends will be received at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment, St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. In memory of Ethel, donations to the Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care) or the St. Francis de Sales Building Maintenance Fund would be appreciated.
