Gemmill, James G. "Gary" Gary passed away suddenly at his home near Perth, on Thursday, January 15th, 2015 in his 71st year. He was predeceased by his father James "Jim" Gemmill. Gary was the much loved husband to Nancy (Code) Gemmill, cherished father to Angel (Jamie) Fielding and Pop to Rebecca, Nicole and Dalton. Gary will be sadly missed by his mother Lois Gemmill, his sisters Bev (late John) McCann and Eleanor (Brent) Gilmour, nephews Mike (Melissa) McCann, Gavin and Patrick Gilmour, great nephew Riley McCann, sisters-in-law Judy (John) Putnam, Doris Murray, brothers-in-law Jack (Debra) Code and Bill Code, all his family and good friends over the years. Gary worked at the Brown Shoe Company for many years then joined the team at the produce section of Barnabe's Your Independent Grocer. He was a member of the Lanark Trap Club and a retired volunteer fireman for the Lanark Village Fire Department. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St., West, Perth on Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. followed by a reception at the Perth Legion. In remembrance of Gary, contributions to the Perth & Lanark Minor Hockey Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
