Dear Chris, Annette and Michelle, Gerry, Fred adn Brian. I have a hole in my heart. Ernie was a dear friend, we shared a morning coffee for about 25 years at the GWM Cafeteia. We grew up together, talking about our family and kids and grandkids. He loved you all and he loved his best fiend/wife Sharon which I am sure he is catching up with right now. This is way too fast or sudden but glad he isn't in pain any more. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I will miss him.

I was lucky enough to be one of our GWM family and have many fond memories of working with Ernie. I remember many ambulance trips into Ottawa with Ernie and Jack, one in particular when in my early days of nursing,after transporting a patient to Ottawa in the middle of the night, convincing me to walk through a drive through to buy them coffee, which they told me was one of my roles as "the Nurse"! I will always remember Ernie's wonderful smile, his kindness and support in emergency situations, and his words of wisdom!! We are so sorry for your families loss. RIP Ernie!

Love of my life

This is a very fitting photo of the Ernie I remebmber - that sparkle of devilishness lives on very strongly in his legacies - even more than I know I'm sure! Ernie never forgot the love and relationship he had with the love of his life, his wife, and the everlasting and interdependent influence this had on his children, grandchildren and relatives and friends. He struggled, like we all do, but he was ever vigalent of his girls!. He would always protect the safety and reputation of his kids and theirs. </p>
<p>
Who could ask for a better advocate, influence or mentor? Ernie, may you continue in your spirit and enjoy your reunion with the love of your life!!! May we all be so fortunate!</p>
