Dear Nate, Donna, Kim and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Grace's passing. Like so many others would testify, she was a tremendous blessing to our family over the years. Her capability to minister in the Lord's name was a gift valued and shared by countless people. Though now she has gone on to reap her reward, for her many labors, for which we are grateful, we who are left behind will truly feel the void. God bless you all. You will be on our hearts in prayer. Sincerely, love Kirk and Nancy MacDowall( nee Hewitt)

A great lady of truth and character is now home in Jesus. Heaven has gained a wonderful servant, who labored through life to gain eternal life. Her work for the Lord was certainly not in vain. We live to embrace that wonderful hope that she lived for and believed in, the great re-union when we will see her and our Lord and hear what she has already heard, well done thou good and faithful servant. Pastor Nath, Donna, Kim, and Family. On Monday, July 9, 2018, our dear friend, pastor, mentor, encourager, prayer warrior departed from her earthly house, and was promoted to her heavenly home. Grace Vaters left behind a legacy ar non. She would pour out her soul each and every time she stood to minister from the Word of God. My Dad, gave his heart to the Lord after this woman of God once again poured out her heart to those who were in need of a Saviour. Her love for people will never go unnoticed. Yes, she has left us with a Godly heritage. Looking forward to the morning, the brightest and the best when we shall forever be reunited again. Let her 'precious memory' always flood your heart, your home, every family gathering,

Our sincere sympathy to use. Grace often visited with Andre when they enjoyed breakfast at Peter's. When she heard that his father died she supplied him with literature to read about losing a family member which really helped. This helped him when his Mother passed away a year later. Andre has always been so grateful. I remember Grace from the many touching funeral services that I have heard her officiate at. It always amazed me how comforting and personal she was. I know Grace is safely wrapped in the arms of Her Savior. Grace was a good and faithful servant.

To Donna and Kim and families:
It would be hard to know where to start and where to end in remembering our dear Sis. Grace Vaters. She has impacted so many lives and left such a legacy and wonderful memories behind. But the greater reward when our Heavenly Father says, Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joys of the Lord' and she is now in perfect health and no doubt having a Hallelujah time in heaven as she would want. It will not be easy adjusting and for everyone left behind, it can be a real challenge and I can understand your feelings so much. There will be a lot of prayer support going your way, and it means so much and really helped to pull me through as well.
Lovingly remembered and praying for God's strength to sustain you at this time.

Whenever we visited them, since they pastored in Clarenville approx. 40 years ago, I would try to sneak in, go to the piano and play with one finger: 'Mary had a little lamb.'. Mother would sing out: "Come on in, Ross".
She Ministered to so but Monday was the day she lived for.

To: Pastor Nath, Donna, Gerry, Natalie, Nathan and Kimmie,
I don't know where to start...it's so hard to believe that after meeting you and your family 40 years ago in Clarenville, things would come "full circle" as Grace said...and I'd be living next door to you again but this time with my husband. These past 3 years have been surreal - and yet so refreshing to be able to reconnect and become almost like a part of the family. Taking Natalie to Newfoundland last summer made her Nan and Pop so happy. Grace was so excited to have Lorne here - and sure enjoyed the times she and Nath took us to these tiny churches all around this area. Her love of God's Word was so evident in the recent Bible Studies we had. I'm positive that the study on "A Life God Rewards" was for her...and for all of us in that group...preparing us. Now we must carry on our lives without Grace on this earth...but we thank God that HE has made a way for us all to be reunited. We do not grieve as those who have NO hope. What a glad reunion some day.

Grace was never far away

Tonight I've uploaded 3 photos of Grace and our children (all at wedding events)... Grace was never far from our family while growing up. Nath and Grace both served as our Pastors quite some time ago, but have always remained friends of the entire family. They were closely involved in our lives... having married all three of our grown children. The photos aren't the best ones we have, but show how she was there for all. THANK YOU Grace for your involvement in the lives of our children, and us. May you rest in peace. We will meet again!
